(Actually I do want to see how different this will be)

Seriously? It will be just like a M6, or MA or MP or M2 et al, and called a M6.  May not be brass top and bottom, but that will not change the looks. Oh, the "Made in Wetzlar.." script maybe new.

Sorry if this disappoints.

you got off lightly, as a result of earlier digressions in this thread I now have a Rolleiflex 3.5 F on it's way to me! :)

I bought a new Rolleiflex 3,5F just as they ceased production. I still use it regularly, great camera.

So you don't have a re-issue M6, you have a pre-issue M6. Nice!

Have fun with the film. HP5 is nice. Tri-X isn't the same now as it was "back in the day".

Kentmere 400 to me is like the old TriX.  Punchy and a bit grainy.  Bonus - it is cheap!

Leica reps/ambassadors have now seen everything at Wetzlar today, and have been told they cannot say anything until 3PM Wetzlar time tomorrow.

Setting my alarm for 6am pacific time…. Which is where it is set anyway but that’s not the point!

Just spoke with two of my contacts... possible delays with M6 reissue camera. One said "but not as bad as 35 APO".

Congratulations to your contacts for being predictable! 😂

Word on the street has it they are busy taking MPs and putting M6 stickers on them.  The first batch were upside down, so it said Leica W9

I wonder if Australia will receive this without the battery button? Because we cannot legally sell MP's anymore because of new laws with products with the button batteries. Leica AUS reps/ambassadors are in Wetzlar for this announcement so.

Also, £4,500.00 is more expensive than the MP, so that part of the rumor seems wrong.

....nobody really believed that a new camera from Leica would be "less expensive"....did they?
