CL + 60mmTL

One of my favourite wines for Christmas lunch (roast chicken) of the last decade. Bought at the vineyard. I must take a candle down to my cellar and see if I have any more bottles. I may be some time.

Happy Christmas CL-lovers!

You have a cellar?

A half bottle of 1999 Chateau Suduiraut was my treat today. It pays to have ‘un goût particulier’ as no one asked to share it with me.

Well, I have a cupboard under the stairs where there is no direct heating😉. My ambition, never to be fulfilled, is one of those spiral cellars under the kitchen floor

We must share a bottle some time in the NY!

I've got a couple of bottles of that as well. Still holding on, though I don't know why: I'm not getting any younger and those are pretty much at drinking peak. Hope you enjoyed it, Dippy!

There's a New York meet up of some LUF members in the end of March. If you're interested, PM me. Otherwise, I get down there some, and happy to bring bottles along. Ken

A nice idea, thanks - I was actually there last March - but we're heading for Sicily this Easter!

Edit: I realise you may have interpreted my 'NY' as New York; it was meant as New Year!

My fault, actually: the NY would be city-centric even for New Yorkers! Sicily should be fantastic: we will want many photos!

Not wanting this (why not?) to be a wine thread, but reporting in: we're having a non-traditional pasta laden with truffles, so a very far north Nebbiolo (2008 Ferrando Carema) is airing right now. I've tasted at the vineyard, and they are wonderful folks.

LOL yes to the wine cellar. A friend bought a house with one already installed - a superb thing.

and yes to sharing a drink in the new year, we’re it’s well overdue. I don’t know where the time goes!

I did, thank you Ken. It was superb. But it’s drinking well now and I wouldn’t hold onto it much longer. I have a few more to enjoy and will make the most of them over the holidays.

Many, many photos. I’ve been trying to get there for years but keep getting fobbed off.

Using an old lens that never performed as well as on the CL body. It will surely get more use.

Another one. I like the 3D effect it produces, rarely seen on CL images.
