Thank you very much, Louis, Boojay and Albert.. There must be a lot of similar places all around the world. A small creek has cut through the sandstone for ages, creating a romantic and eerie place at the same time. It is dangerous after heavy rainfall and storms, yet people love to walk their dogs there. There are parts where you have to walk in the water. I have posted more shots in the landscape and travel section (“The gorge”j. I apologise for the number of images, but I felt like telling a story about this fascinating place. The little CL performed very well so that did not regret not bringing the Q. 1600 ISO - no problem at all.

Eva, please feel free to post as many shots as you wish. We are all here for photography and enjoy seeing photos.

I very well understand what you mean though. I often feel very embarrassed by the number of my posts and sometimes wait for more people to post before. But when I see no activity in the thread, I lose patience and post shots, hoping they would not annoy anyone.

Keep shooting and posting, my friend. We can always learn something from any shot. Just look how your nature shot inspired Jayne to post her breathtaking photos!

The kind of picturesque art that you can find in cowboys stores in America. It may not be Michelangelo masterpiece, but they are more affordable than Michelangelo and I find them quite interesting as souvenirs.

( To not annoy too many people with numerous posts, I am trying to fit them in the same post!  B)  )

Thanks, Louis. I have once been criticised for posting too many similar-looking images in an own thread in the German part of the forum. I think I have learnt my lesson - diversity matters. I am a photographic gourmand and I know it. Sometimes I need a mediocre image to fill in for the story’s sake.

I don't think it would be any problem in this forum. So far, I am really happy to see very civil people as fellow members and I can't wait to see  forum T and CL merging. There are some really inspiring photographers (such as Rick ) in forum T that I would really enjoy seeing here. You called yourself "gourmande", but I think I am more of a "voyeur" concerning photography! lol

I learn so much from everyone and I am so grateful for everyone posting.

Here’s a continuation of my journey with the CL. Using the M adapter I used the Summicron 35/2 Asph this morning...again like my previous experience with the 90/2.8, I was delighted with the balance and manual focus of this lens...

Louis, I think we can all learn from you.

My "trusty" (not yet, but getting used to manual focussing) Voigtlander

First ever manual focus lens, so sharpness is still a bit hit and miss, especially at 1.5  ;) but I think this would qualify as acceptable sharpness

Sucker for B&W.

Another doggy one from me - CL 55-135

Jayne:

What a great photo!

It reminds me of those old Hollywood movies, where the film superimposed a car being driven over a looped landscape, to give the effect that the car was actually traveling.

Reminds me of Lassie looking for Timmy.

Where are we, geographically?

Hi Albert.  Geographically we are UK, Shropshire, top of Grinshill looking out over Shropshire plain towards Stiperstones and The Long Mynd, plus a few other hills to boot.   It was raining over the hills and no amount of dehaze was going to bring back any details.  On a better, clearer day the view is spectacular.  It's a walk I do regularly, very close to my home.
