Lovely Mike, a beautiful cat and it's great to see what some of these old lenses offer, one of the joys of mirrorless, being able to adapt so many different ones.

Thank you Jayne, she's a wonderful incredibly good natured animal, she came from a rescue shelter about 3 years ago.

I've always been fascinated with old lenses & how they render on modern sensors, even more so with the opportunity mirrorless offers. Whenever I find an interesting one I buy it, not for any collectible value, I love playing around with them, especially old Russian lenses, many which are inexpensive.

A very nice capture :-).  I can see the internet in trying old lenses but I’m glad we don’t have to live with that bokeh now.  I really found it distracting though fascinating in itself - if that isn’t too much of a contradiction!

Thanks Vikas. I'm also fascinated with this lens & how it renders the out of focus areas. This is a function of the lens design which is based a Cooke triplet & its12 aperture blades. I fully agree, the bokeh effect can be very distracting, it's a case of love it or hate it.

Stepped off the boat yesterday morning and this is the view I have to endure.

CL with 18-56 100 ISO f4.7 @ 1/60   No filters, handheld, ( tripod is useless on the boat and the dock is floating also).
