Hi Albert,
given that this was a vegetable picture, the shape makes me thinking that it was a feather! And in these times of sadness and frustration,

I found that a feather brought some ease of thinking. That's  all. That is the power of a picture: -> dreaming...😊  And here, appreciated!

Best.

I see. I think it looks like a feather also. It is a single blade of grass as tall as a man. Thank you for enjoying it as I did.

Don't give up.  Do you have photo editing software ?

Just the image viewer built into my imac. My imac image viewer automatically converts from RAW too, the JPG out of the CL are generally not very good.

And Silverfast on my scanner.

hmmm, I probably need something better.

I rent photoshop for $9.99 per month from Adobe. But, I’m a babe in the woods on this forum.

hmmm, quality still crap. It looks good on my screen. Then I upload and on the same screen it looks crap. This is why I stopped posting images last winter. It’s easier to focus (pun intended) instead on my B&W film, the grain hides all ills!

If that happens just refresh the browser.

What is your focusing technique for this type of shot? I find it challenging and often find rocking to and fro in manual mode sometimes works.

4pm... I still struggle to come to terms with the early darkness. A few months ago the sun would still have been overhead. Makes for pretty pictures though

I use Aperture priority,  point focus, continuous medium speed mode. The bee will freeze sometime in the air for a very short period of time , and this is moment for you to have a good chance of getting the picture.

Shiny Tray   23mmTL

Posted this earlier on Barnacks Monthly . Its really a comment on

the corona virus which canceled my trip to England.  Travel kit was to

be 18mm,23mm, and 55-135 TL.  Leica C was backup.

Cheers, Dan

I had the same trouble today when after uploading a b&w film image it was clearly messed up. I had my jpg open on one side of the screen and my forum post open on the other, simply no comparison. Same file. I never had this problem on any other forum, some of which do the resizing for you automatically, or any photo sharing site, or via email, etc. I tried reloading the page in my browser but no improvement. I had this trouble when I joined the forum so I stopped posting images. Well, it’s a hectic time and I don’t want to jump through hoops or rent software to edit images just to share my photos here, so I’m going back into lurking mode. I will continue to enjoy seeing the fine work from photographers far more skilled and try to learn from their collective wisdom!

Edit: I think I found the problem, or at least a way around it. You have to click on the image in my post and pop it open in a new window to see it properly. Other people's images seem to look great without having to click on them so something I'm doing is still not right but at least now I can upload and if you click on the image you at least get something that's 90% of what I see instead of 40% of what I see !

Same as Lawrence, incl. CAF & I also sometimes use the Electronic Shutter, which however doesn't give you continuous shooting.

CL & Sigma 100-400mm  -This morning high up in a Water Berry Tree which has hundreds of Bees in it at this time of year.

The flowers look like wild 'ever-lastings', useful for interior decorations. However, they are equally attractive outdoors.
