Wet, tall grass prairie in the back of our home

The light magnetta tone emanates from the baby blue stem and the big blue stem grasses.

Unlike The Carolinas we really needed this rain.

I usually don‘t like this kind of processing, but I could not resist this quick snapseed experiment. CL with Apo-Vario-Elmar 55-135.

Even though the previous shot of the prairie REALLY looks that way I decided to desaturate.

I think you might have tweaked the colour balance; I took a reading from the little grey bit on the wood:

Albert, that shot is underexposed by two stops and begging for a bit of postprocessing, which is a shame, as it is basically rather nice.

The yellow rose of Texas
An attempt to make it scientifically more acceptable after some education.

After some help from our moderator, I hope this is a better photograph.

Yeah! Must humbly admit that your fix is the best. Damn, it sucks to be wrong! Peace, & Thanks, Al

I actually liked the original colours :-)

To each his own notion of colour I guess.

Thank you for your vision. I felt the same but succumbed to a higher authority. I must be mor steadfast in my beliefs.

Yes, let’s let this be art and not stops. I must learn to like my own work.

Curious to see if my old Elpro VIIa would give me a bit of working distance with decent magnification, I attached it via stepping rings to my 55-135mm.  Although it renders respectable IQ, the still-short working distance (around 10 inches), very limited focus distance range (maybe 5 inches), and limited magnification (as expected using 135mm) make the 60mm TL a substantially better option.

CL + 55-135mm + Elpro VIIa, cropped at about 80% . . .
