Kwesi Posted August 4, 2022 Share #3 Posted August 4, 2022 I don't know but perhaps the logo on the strap can provide a clue for someone who recognizes it Welcome, dear visitor! Herr Barnack Posted August 9, 2022 Share #4 Posted August 9, 2022 (edited) This company was formerly known as Fast + Prime. I have always liked their Agent camera case: https://www.unquietdream.com/analogy-catalogue/agent-camera-case However: The Agent's price tag of $1200 USD is a big ol' stumbling block. AndrewK Posted August 9, 2022 Share #5 Posted August 9, 2022 I think the company may still offer the holster that many of us wish to buy. Check out this page: https://www.unquietdream.com/analogy-catalogue/uhl-blackbird which also include the Leica video. Please note that " Leica M11 with our Classic UHL case and spare “Standard” lens case. "
charlesphoto99 Posted August 9, 2022 Share #6 Posted August 9, 2022 More ridiculous tosh to try and dress up your Leica like it's Ryan Gosling or something. For the price of that holster ($787!) one could buy a decent Voightlander or Zeiss lens. 1
250swb Posted August 9, 2022 Share #7 Posted August 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks like it doesn't work very well anyway, the lens has a big dent in its filter ring.
Herr Barnack Posted August 13, 2022 Share #8 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) $787 for a holster that gives your $9000 M11 and your $6000 lens no protection from rain, dust or impact. Genius!! 🙄 Edited August 13, 2022 by Herr Barnack
LBJ2 Posted August 13, 2022 Share #9 Posted August 13, 2022 I went with the Oberwerth Camera Holster https://us.oberwerth.com/products/crossbody-holster-fur-leica-m-und-q Welcome, dear visitor! SrMi Posted August 13, 2022 Share #10 Posted August 13, 2022 I assume nobody uses a regular strap when carrying the camera in a holster. Do you typically add at least a wrist strap? I am so used to having a camera on a strap that I almost dropped the camera when I reached into the bag to change the lens :).
LBJ2 Posted August 13, 2022 Share #11 Posted August 13, 2022 I typically use a very minimal leather wrist strap with a strong tether, not a split ring with M cameras. Fits nicely into the Oberwerth holster. I don't think it would be possible to fit an M camera with a neck strap into the Oberwerth Holster. elmars Posted August 14, 2022 Author Share #12 Posted August 14, 2022 Is this strap really safe to carry an M with attached lens for a longer time?

elmars Posted August 14, 2022 Author Share #14 Posted August 14, 2022 This means over 50 kg, if I am right. But what about the abrasion caused by the strap eyelet when worn?

I've used this wrist strap since 2020. I bought it specifically to avoid split ring and strap rub/abrasion marks. The strap and tether still look new with no signs of use and of course no abrasion marks on any of my Ms. Yes, the tether is very durable and strong, not that I am expecting to dangle up to the rated 130 lb or 59 Kg from the Dacron tether on this strap. I also use the Leica hand grip and this wrist strap, which to me feels like a very secure hold/grip when pulling the camera out of the holster and all fits nicely with the Oberwerth holster too. Here's an old shot with this wrist strap and the M10 + Grip Welcome, dear visitor! Herr Barnack Posted September 1, 2022 Share #16 Posted September 1, 2022 (edited) I know those cords are rated @130 lbs. breaking strength, but that spindly little piece of string still makes me all jibbity. 😳 Edited September 1, 2022 by Herr Barnack
scott kirkpatrick Posted September 1, 2022 Share #17 Posted September 1, 2022 I've been using the bog standard Leica strap, but I install it with a few twists so that it hangs down, and has three coils to it. Then I put my hand through the coils, slide them up to my wrist, and shoot or hold the camera with fingers around the lens. I can dangle it if I have to dig out keys or small change. Or still hang it around my neck or over the shoulder. Welcome, dear visitor! It definitely would make me worry of the expensive camera attached to the little string. 😂
