rramesh Posted January 23, 2022 Share #65 Posted January 23, 2022 I have been using a MacBook Pro 2021 from release. Some points to note: Get the 3 years Apple Care+ extended warranty. It's useful as the MacBook is not cheap, and it protects you from accidental damages. In the US, you can subscribe to an annual renewal scheme, I think. Apple will run Intel 64-bit apps under Rosetta 2. You are typically promoted to install this when you try to install an Intel app the first time. I am running Lightroom 5 on my Mac in addition to ON1 RAW 2022 and it works just fine. There is an app called 'Silicon' (Download from GitHub) that will indicate which apps on your computer are running in Universal or Intel 64 mode. You can also check by using Finder > Applications > Right click Application and see under Kind
Adam Bonn Posted January 30, 2022 Author Share #66 Posted January 30, 2022 so yesterday the cat knocked over a vase of flowers soaking everything on the desk, but by some hey maybe there is a god type miracle the macbook was untouched. I bought applecare+ today. 2
