And what are your thoughst comparing it to Mono? Is it stil place for M10m or should I sell it?

P.S. Picture is just great! Emotions and 3d fill. Is it 35 Summilux?

Hi there - I shoot so much colour that using a Monochrom really isn't sensible, but the Mono conversions for the M11 seem really good.

this was the 50 'Lux Asph

Picked up my black M11 from my local Leica Dealer on Friday. Love the colour and finish! KaiW must have very sensitive skin! Went for a walk today (in very flat light) around a nearby stately home. The latitude and dynamic range in the files compared to my M240 is massive. Still getting to grips with processing. Files initially appear a little flat, but as has been mentioned already, plenty of detail waiting to be worked on. All hand-held at f5.6, auto-iso, 50mm APO

Thanks for answer. I am waiting now for my M11, but still love my mono as well. As to summilux, usuallly using apo summicrons nowaday, but really summilux 35 and 50 have something... I should use them more often.

Please excuse the annoying car park light halfway up the tree. I'll have to ask the Duke of Devonshire to switch it off next time I visit! 😅50mm APO

Beautiful images!

Apart from the lens being almost impossible to get hold of; for my preferences in landscape, I have wondered about trading in my 35FLE for the 35APO. You produce sublime pictures with it.

@jonoslack These are SO beautiful!  It's almost a tossup between #3 and #4, but I think #4 is my favorite.

The combination of the M11 and 35 APO is of another realm...

I suggest anyone interested in getting the 35 apo to put your name down at all the Leica stores.  I did that (none required a deposit) and 2 months later I was able to get the lens.  2 months isn't short but putting your name down on as many waitlists as possible should help.  With Jono's fantastic photos with the 35m apo and m11 combo, that waitlist might have grown exponentially over the last few days...

I still haven't taken a photo with this combo that I'm willing to share, proof that while this lens is magical, it isn't magic...

I put my name at my store when it was released, still waiting 😕.

The San Francisco store?  That's where I got mine...I actually had two available to me and opted to get it locally (the other store was the DC location if I remember correctly).

Walnut Creek. Hmm, they are typically getting me lenses and cameras quite efficiently. Must check with them again.

Finally warm enough to walk to the beach today.

35mm Summilux pre-asph v1 at f8

I’m downsizing this image from my iPad; hope it comes through ok because the M11 file looks pretty good to me.

m

edit: nope, just checked and the sharpness of the image did not come through. Oh, well . . .
