I'm waiting for the 50 Omicron to be released.  Since the Summicron is reserved for f/2 lenses, will it be f/1.9 perhaps?  And a Limited Edition model to commemorate the contribution to medicine in 2019?

If this lens is not a remake of the double aspherical lens with a FLE then there is no point of its release at all. Let us wait for the official announcement.

With prices like this and a rarity to boot, no one will actually take any photos with one and post. So nothing to compare and nothing to see here. Move on.

it seems like the 10k + price is only the the resellers price, the initial price was only slightly higher than the price of the non limited lux

Doesn't bother me. 

Selling these higher priced limited editions subsidizes the costs for their other products, and contributes to Leica's ability to continue business.

Absolutely. I am glad people are buying them. Leica needs to be profitable enough to design more cutting edge lenses. I used to work for a German company and know how expensive it is to maintain a happy staff.

Let’s hope Leica remains profitable so they can continue to design and make cameras and lenses. If they have found a way to print money the more power to them. The regular editions are still available for mere mortals. 😁

Who told you that? Blasphemy. They are only to be admired at distance in its glass box and shown off at fancy parties. Take comfort that they are meant to outlive its owner.
