Alberti Posted September 13, 2022 Share #185 Posted September 13, 2022 As we walked to the cafe on the Grote Markt for a beer, I saw some exhibits that turned out great, like this squirrel and the cat doing the afternoon exercises. This is with a single coated lens from 1959 - and without any edits in LR. To me it is awesome. Welcome, dear visitor! pegelli Posted September 13, 2022 Author Share #186 Posted September 13, 2022 I totally missed those artefacts Albert, probably too impressed by looking at all the kaviar at Grobet a few minutes before 😆 If I remember correctly we were all standing close together here sunday morning and I heard lots of clicks when the tram departed from its end stop at the harbour house, it would be interesting to see all the different versions here in this thread. satijntje Posted September 13, 2022 Share #190 Posted September 13, 2022 "My" view of the hand of Antigoon. From Wikipedia: (for those that did not know 🙂 )Druon Antigoon was a mythical giant who lived in Antwerp. Guarding a bridge on the river Schelde, he exacted a toll from those crossing the river. For those who refused, he severed one of their hands and threw it into the river. Eventually, Antigoon was slain by Brabo, who cut off the giant's own hand and flung it into the river. This legend is the origin of the name Antwerp: Antwerpen, from the dutch hand werpen—akin to Old English hand and wearpan (= to throw), that has changed to today's warp. Welcome, dear visitor! rjans Posted September 14, 2022 Share #198 Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) Finally was able to get the processed & scanned color negative films but I'm disappointed with the scan quality. Far too low resolution and presence of a color cast. A lot of pp has to be done. One from the first day near the MAS, converted to monochrome in Photolemur. Welcome, dear visitor! pegelli Posted September 14, 2022 Author Share #200 Posted September 14, 2022 Great to see the first analog results in here Roger, pity about the colour cast but the B&W conversion of the first works very well, but the second really needs to be in colour I think. My experience with scanning at Grobet is also not great, indeed very low resolution and wonky colours. Scanning the negatives myself later on my Epson V700 gave much better results, allthough I still find scanning colour negatives is very difficult and getting the colours right takes a lot of work. Finally investing in "Negative Lab Pro" (a Lightroom plugin) gave the best results. My B&W film is now full and taken out of the camera, next step is development and scanning, I hope to make time for that the coming days.
