Now available in LTM mount.

Really?!......😺......

If the LTM can be had in Black finish that would be a wonderful little lens to use with my 1930 Leica 1 Mod. A-to-C conversion. A truly pocketable point'n'shoot into the bargain!

Thanks for the link, Klaus, although at the moment there is no definite mention of whether the LTM will be offered in Black Paint.

I already have the M version in Silver-Chrome so picking up a Black LTM would allow me to have an all-black set-up with not only with the Leica 1 but also, using the LTM-M adapter, the M-D Typ-262. As my Leica 1 has Nickel fittings the S-C version would not (IMO) be a match made in heaven visually-speaking...

Oooooh!!!! Now that is VERY tempting!

I have had no dealings with AliExpress so don't know quite how import duties / taxes would be handled. Pergear - the company from whom I bought my M-mount example - seemed to be able to deal directly within the UK therefore no 'extras' were payable but even in the 'Worst-Case Scenario' where Duty and Takes would be added as the lens is advertised at under £300 any additional charges would be relatively affordable considering we are in LeicaLand...

Thanks for the link, Huss, and I will have to give this some very serious consideration. Is having four 28mm lenses overkill?............

I bought the Brightin Star 28 lens (waiting delivery) and they charged tax so hopefully nothing else to do on my end.

Also... apparently TTA made only one batch of LTM lenses, and will make no more.

They made one batch; will make no more and the Black Paint LTM lenses are sold-out already? OK; I'm not a businessman (thank goodness) but surely someone within TTA has sufficient nous to draw some fairly obvious conclusions from these pieces of info?

You managed to get stuff OOF with a 28mm f5.6 lens? Wow! As D-o-F at f5.6 stretches from 2.4m to infinity that takes some doing!...........I guess you are correct; this lens is definitely NOT for you.

If stuff OOF with a 28 is what you are after perhaps you should consider the 28mm Summilux instead?

Really not for me, it is packed up to go back.

You bought a 28mm f5.6 lens are complaining about OOF?  I repeat, you bought a 28mm f 5.6 lens and are complaining about OOF?

In related news, I bought a Leica APO M 50 and am sending it back because the auto focus sucks.

I have the M mount and quite happy with the images, especially for the price. If 28mm was my main focal length I would likely want something better but for my occasional use I am thrilled to have it.

The TTA 28 5.6, and Leica Summaron 28 5.6, are too slow to be used as the one and only 28.  But w/in their design brief they are excellent.  (as I'm sure everyone knows by now, the TTA may look like a Summaron on the outside, but is nothing like it optically).

There's nothing in this thread that convinces me that this lens will produce an image any better than the average mobile 'phone can. 'Characterless' is probably the most polite description I would use.  Compared to a summaron, it's not even close to the ballpark
