And looking at the alternative routes and where to stay on the journey. And tipping my hat to both of them. It’s a bloody long way and if they’re sticking to the motorways, in order to get there before Christmas, it must be a bit mind numbing… But the company will make up for it 😊 I love a road trip, me, but that’s above and beyond. We went down through what at the time was Yugoslavia and then caught a ferry back to Brindisi and drove up through Italy, Switzerland and France. While there are a few people who look like they are on “business”, I’d say at least 3/4 are leisure travellers including families and children. So, there is still plenty of money (or Avios) about.
