35mm Lux FLE strange vignetting?

I recently purchased a used 35mm Lux FLE (11663) and noticed some strange vignetting going on. I would certainly expect some vignetting in the corners wide open, but to my eye this looks different. Almost as if the lens hood is getting in the shot or something. Has anyone seen this before or know what's going on? Could it be the lens came with the wrong hood?

The example below was taken at f2.8 and the lens corrections were applied in Lightroom. You can clearly see the vignetting I'm talking about in the upper corners, especially the left.

Strange for 2,8 - make a little test: Remove the hood and make some test shots. It it's gone it's the hood. nd make some shots at 5.8, 8 and so on and look, of the vignetting is still be present. Then it's a case for the CS

Good idea, thanks. I'll get out and do some testing later today. In the meantime, I checked the part number of the hood and it seems to be the correct one. That doesn't mean it isn't the problem, but still.

When I did my "stress test" for looking at vignetting with an opaque object just in front of the lens with  f/2.8 I can see some vignetting, but the lens hood does not make any difference. My method strongly exaggerates the amount of vignetting, in normal usage there  will be much, much less. When I look a your photos, I'd say there is too much. It looks as if the hood was not in its proper position.

@UliWer Thanks for doing that test. Did you apply the lens corrections to both of those examples?

Yes, lens was automatically detected. How on your example?

Yes, the lens corrections were applied in my example, which is why I was surprised that the vignetting is still so prominent.

His test shots are quite similar to yours at f/2.8 without any lens profile, but with the proper lens profile it's considerably better.

This is a photo recently made with the 35mm FLE. The EXIF tells me f/3.4 - may be right, but could be f/2.8 as well. The example is not ideal as the sky is very dark. There is some vignetting, but I don't see it as pronounced as on your example:

@evikne I double checked that the correct lens profile was applied, but I'm not 100% sure I shot it at f2.8. That sounds right to me, but I don't know for certain. I'll take some test shots this afternoon so I'll have some examples where I can be certain of the apertures I used.

@a.noctilux I did not use a filter. When I first saw the files it looked to me like the same effect you get sometimes with a filter, which is why I suspected the lens hood was the wrong size.

In my view, not the adapted hood can give this sort of vignetting.

Did you try it in another M-Body?

Well, I did some very unscientific testing at f1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6 and 8 - with the hood and without - and the strange vignetting is there throughout. It almost seems like it is worst at f2.8, but it's still apparent at f5.6.

Today is the last day I can return the lens for a refund, which is what I've decided to do.
