Guest user8952 Posted September 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 6, 2007 horrible colors. what happened?
Rona!d Posted September 6, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 6, 2007 horrible colors. what happened? The red looks like M8 with a faulty RAW-conversion, but the shot was with an DMR. Maybe also a question of the RAW-converter-setup? To me the ferrari-red is too magenta.
stuny Posted September 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2007 I'm willing to forgive the color being off to see the wonderful Scagglietti-designed curves and details.
topoxforddoc Posted September 6, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted September 6, 2007 Gents, I'm sorry if you think the colours are off. I just used my DMR, LR1.1 with firmware 1.3. I haven't really tweaked these at all. To be honest, the vintage Ferraris were a bit more magenta than the modern scarlet renditions. Maybe, that was just a bit of extra patina over the years. Anyway, it was great day and the cars and planes (Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang, Bearcat, Wildcat, Lancaster etc) were just FAB!. Charlie

elansprint72 Posted September 7, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 7, 2007 no way. I bet there‘s a technical problem.... Just got a copy of Classic & Sportscar, September 1989 from e-bay; there is a feature on the Testarossa (same model, different car)... guess what same blue tones in the red! Guys who can afford these cars usually get the correct spec paint applied when restoring. looking at the other reds in the photos- Shell pump, plastic lens, etc they :)look "normal" to me. Guest user8952 Posted September 8, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 8, 2007 ...Guys who can afford these cars usually get the correct spec paint applied when restoring. and you think this "spec paint" is also applied to their faces??? this discussion is ridiculous - the colors are way off...
