lct Posted October 4, 2021 Share #2 Posted October 4, 2021 You may try to format one of those cards with SD Card Formatter.
rpsawin Posted October 5, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 5, 2021 Amo4M8, Are you formatting the cards with the M8?
khuongdaikhoa Posted October 5, 2021 Share #4 Posted October 5, 2021 You have to use SD card only. Old firmware doesn't read SDHC or SDXC.

a.noctilux Posted October 5, 2021 Share #12 Posted October 5, 2021 (edited) MY wife's M8 with firmware 2.014 (I don't know if it's the last) accepts SDHC cards. The card I tried in her M8 is DANE-ELEC 4GB SDHC class 4 formatted in computer as FAT32. Another SDHC card , Sandisk 8GB class 4 ( FAT32 ) shows 735 (frames left) on the top LCD. Dao De Leitz Posted October 5, 2021 Share #13 Posted October 5, 2021 (edited) ... I would (also*) not exclude SDHC type of cards, to my knowledge SDHC cards are working officially. I use the following 8GB SDHC types as a good compromise in storage capacity: SanDisk Extreme III SDHC 8GB & Samsung 8GB SDHC - both 'class 6' (controlled transcription) Inspect to make sure all spring contacts in the card slot are regular and clean. Good luck. Thorsten Edited October 5, 2021 by Dao De Leitz * also ...
khuongdaikhoa Posted October 5, 2021 Share #14 Posted October 5, 2021 I tried my M8 with SDHC card 16gb and the camera detect it with no problem. My M8 was in latest firmware by the way. When I first got the M8 with 1.xx.xx firmware, I had to buy an old Sandisk Extreme III SD just for the camera to detect it and be able to upgrade the firmware.

tommonego@gmail.com Posted October 6, 2021 Share #18 Posted October 6, 2021 I use 4 and 8gb SDHC Sandisk cards in my M8 with no problem, just bought 2 new 8gb cards. First formatted in the M8 with no problem, my firmware is 2.024. I'd check your firmware and see if you have used the cards in any other camera. Amo4M8 Posted October 6, 2021 Author Share #19 Posted October 6, 2021 Used the 2GB to update Firmware and 8GB working well. Thank you
MikeMyers Posted November 17, 2021 Share #20 Posted November 17, 2021 I found that unless I use a small memory card, the film counter is useless. With small memory cards, it works fine. I only format my cards in my M8.2, and I never use these cards in my other cameras. So far, all is well.
