Having a tough time to get a SD card formatted for my M8.  Tried the following:

4GB SanDisk SDHC Class 4

8GB SanDisk SDHC Class 4

8GB Maxflash SDHC Class 6

8GBSanDisk SDHC Extreme III

On order 1GB and 2GB.  As soon as I put the SD Card in the camera it says full.  I try to format and the red light just keeps blinking and no formatting.  Please Help!

You have to use SD card only. Old firmware doesn't read SDHC or SDXC.

Thank you.  How many GB's?  I have ordered 1GB and 2GB.  Once I update the Firmware, how high can I go on the GB's?

MY wife's M8 with firmware 2.014 (I don't know if it's the last) accepts SDHC cards.

The card I tried in her M8 is DANE-ELEC 4GB SDHC class 4 formatted in computer as FAT32.

Another SDHC card , Sandisk 8GB class 4 ( FAT32 ) shows 735 (frames left) on the top LCD.

... I would  (also*) not exclude SDHC type of cards, to my knowledge SDHC cards are working officially.

I use the following 8GB SDHC  types as a good compromise in storage capacity:   SanDisk Extreme III SDHC 8GB   &   Samsung 8GB SDHC -  both 'class 6' (controlled transcription)

Inspect to make sure all spring contacts in the card slot are regular and clean.     Good luck.  Thorsten

I found that unless I use a small memory card, the film counter is useless.  With small memory cards, it works fine.  I only format my cards in my M8.2, and I never use these cards in my other cameras.  So far, all is well.
