topoxforddoc Posted September 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2007 Henry, If he's as good at playing that guitar as he looks in your pic, he'll pick up a few bucks indeed. Charlie

hsw Posted September 2, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted September 2, 2007 Thanks guys! I'm really enjoying my new lens. Not quite as sharp and contrasty as the 50 'Lux I missed out on getting from my 30% discount, but for less than 1/2 the price, I think it does quite well. martinop Posted September 2, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I like the framing & profile with the shallow DOF, and capturing the lighting contrast with the much lighter bokeh versus the darker foreground / main subject. hsw Posted September 5, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted September 5, 2007 Thanks again Paul, Pelikan & Ed. Have now printed, matted, and framed and will search for him Saturday to give him the photo and some more $$. Commend this lens to you all; heavy but still feels reasonably balanced mounted to the M8; very fast focusing and silky smooth. Amazing resolving power in the near dark too. mgcd Posted September 6, 2007 Share #12 Posted September 6, 2007 I found myself quite excited with anticipation when I found out this was one of your images before it loaded. I admit that this surprised me, that does not happen often. Anyway, I was not disappointed. Certainly an enjoyable image. Unfortunately I am rather inarticulate at this late hour... I do love the selective focus and the light on his face. Very nicely done. Cheers,
