jaapv Posted July 25, 2024 Share #285 Posted July 25, 2024 I love the motion blur, in fact as far as I’m concerned it could be quite a bit more. This is a dynamic shot and the photographic symbol is blur. Freezing it into sterility would take away the power.

Ning Ning Posted August 3, 2024 Share #294 Posted August 3, 2024 I have been the proud owner of this lens since yesterday. Together with the SL3 and the battery grip, this is quite a statement in terms of handling and weight. I carry the combination together with a monopod in my rucksack. Once I arrive at the scene, I don't always want to have to get my camera out of my rucksack. That's too slow for me. I found it very uncomfortable to have everything hanging around my neck yesterday. How do you do it?
jaapv Posted August 3, 2024 Share #295 Posted August 3, 2024 I have a Peak Design strap fixed to the lens, removed from the camera, and carry the lens and camera bandolier style; hanging it around your neck will give you a backache. The lens pointed backwards for easy grabbing. I also have a handgrip fitted instead of the Arca foot and have a small Arca plate under the handgrip for the monopod Velbon Ultrastick Super Eight and belt hook. For extra balance I use a battery grip on the S5ii. The companion 70-200 goes on the SL. As I have a Peak Design connector fitted to the tripod thread to carry the combo similarly to the 150-600 but on the other side, I found a narrow Arca Clamp for the Ultrastick. Batteries and Tele converter live in a small belt bag or Cargo shorts pocket. It sounds like a pack mule arrangement but in practice it is surprisingly comfortable. When transporting everything goes into my Vanguard backpack/rollerbag

jaapv Posted August 4, 2024 Share #298 Posted August 4, 2024 It would not work for me; too much strain on my back; the camera would still hang at the front. And still needs to be freed. I rather doubt that a large lens with a grip and a battery grip on the camera would fit inside and easily taken out.
jaapv Posted August 4, 2024 Share #299 Posted August 4, 2024 This, to me, it the basic configuration for carrying the lens: Least strain, no bumping around and ready for an instant grab. Of course, the Rogue Breezy hat is an essential too 😉 Welcome, dear visitor! I actually manage quite well with my equipment hanging on my stomach in front of me. I used the "Think Tank Change Up" system for many years and was very happy with it. But it has become too small for the Leica stuff. When things dangle over my shoulder, I usually get nervous, but who knows. Times change...
