Your dedication to the cause is outstanding. I was thinking about suggesting we go to Prague instead, though. Athens is so last year. 😀 1 1

StS Posted October 14, 2021 Share #22 Posted October 14, 2021 I found the food in Prague excellent, starting with the restaurant car of the Czech railway company. Stefan

Athens is so last year. 😀 By 2022 it will be so last two years I will post some photos, but it is a great city and I am enjoying my meals out and the Air B&B I am in is good. Today I am on holiday so will actually go out and enjoy myself and see the sights. Hopefully will take some photos with my Sinar. Prague is a great city too - I have spent a total of about 30 weeks there in the last 10 years. Mosquitoes wont be a problem in Prague, but it will be colder and darker. The restaurant under the Opera will be good for dinner; there is a museum of beer which is good for the Thursday night meet up, lunch on Saturday could be in an out of the way spot (2 stops on metro from the centre) in Vysyrad which is also a photogenic location to start. 1

christoph_d Posted October 15, 2021 Share #25 Posted October 15, 2021 Prague - an unexpected turn. With Josef Sudek there’s clearly a local hero photographer present. Is there any such figure for Athens? An Ara Güler of the life of Athens? (The closest images I can think of are Edward Steichens pictures of Therese Duncan on the Acropolis but those are really about Therese, not Athens …)
andybarton Posted October 15, 2021 Author Share #26 Posted October 15, 2021 I was only joking about Prague. Always the bridesmaid and never the bride when it comes to choosing a Challenge city 😊
RayD28 Posted October 16, 2021 Share #27 Posted October 16, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I wasn't paying close enough attention to my calendar and found out I have double-booked parts of my afternoon in an unfamiliar city. I'll have a window of time that fits into the rules. I won't say anymore except this Challenge will be a challenge. Be there. Be ready. Be lucky. --- Bill Rauhauser

mike3996 Posted October 16, 2021 Share #34 Posted October 16, 2021 Nice weather for walking and strolling. This challenge got me out of the proverbial bed so whatever people think about my shot, it wasn't for nothing.

earleygallery Posted October 16, 2021 Share #38 Posted October 16, 2021 I didn't stray very far, due to feeling very groggy this morning (bit of a cold/sore throat), but shot something so I could at least take part!
