That’s an easy one. Use a loop of Dental Floss to pull them through.

it worked like a champ!  Thank you.

I left the dental floss on the table and my wife yelled at me "disgusting!"  🤷‍♂️

I had been mulling a wrist strap for my 'new' M-D but hadn't seen the PD one before -- so I got one, many thanks to @jaeger and of course top marks to @jaapv for the dental floss trick, it made it the work of a few seconds! Worth watching the PD video on the Cuff as it has quite a few subtle and useful features, as well as exquisite and clever packaging ...

It now all fits just fine in my Lowepro Format 100 bag (with Voigt 50mm 1.5 ii) and much more suits my way of working than a neck strap (as a 'path photographer' rather than street I am often brushing up against undergrowth or literally going through hedges backwards to access an interesting plant or flower, so for me it's take shot, then back in bag)

I reckon I grab the lens barrel with my left hand so I just switched the anchor from right side to the left.  Made the switch in 10 seconds, it would be impossible without this trick.
