Best Superwide Zoom for SL2?

I used to have the Canon 11-24mm adapted on my SL2 and loved it, but regretfully sold it when I sold my SL2.  Now that I am getting an SL2 again, I am again looking at the Canon 11-24mm, but now there is also the Sigma 14-24mm in L mount which gets very good reviews.  Any thoughts on the Sigma or any other super wides for the SL2?  I don't do astro - mainly urban landscape including architectural elements.  The Sigma seems to have very noticeable distortion at the wide end.  Can anyone discuss their experience with the Sigma?  I also have the Voigtlander 15mm vIII which I have used on my M10R - it's ok but I really preferred the wider Canon zoom.

Most super wides have a degree of distortion on the wide end, including the Leicas. The Sigma 14-24mm is an outstanding lens, unbeatable for price - performance.

I have the Sigma 14-24, The SL16-35 and a few others for other systems.

If you want really wide I think the Sigma is an exceptional lens for the money. Sharp from wide open and surprisingly good at the frame edges. As you're aware filters are tricky but that's one of the only downsides. Add a CV 12 or 10mm if you must go super wide.

Another vote for the Sigma 14-24. It's very good.

I use it handheld whilst on the move most of the time so I don't often get to see it at it's full potential, but when on a tripod stopped down a bit with care taken with focus it's extremely detailed.

The Sigma 14-24 is great for situations that work well with an ultra-wide like indoor settings, architecture, astrophotography, and confined spaces like canyons. I feel it’s a bit too wide for general landscape or scenes with people in them. For that, a 16-35 would probably be a more versatile choice.

Otherwise, the image quality is very good.

If 16-35 would be fine for you on the wide end, the Lumix S-Pro 16-35 is a very good and light option (500g, 77mm filter) which is as well sharp to the corners.

I'm always amazed by how well my SL2 renders with the WATE 16/18/21      not cheap but works amazingly on M bodies too !
