This discussion, and the sample images, have been wonderfully interesting. I have been looking at the discussion at the FM forum, too. I love the images I have shot, with the Version III, of the Elmarit-M 28mm f/2.8, so, there is no rush to acquire this Voigtlander, but, it is good to know that it exists, if I decide that I need an f/2 28mm lens, or, one with less distortion, for something like cityscapes.

Hi, a lens hood made in China, bought on ebay for € 46.65. It fits well, is a little smaller than the one shown above, making the M9 even more pocketable :

My fare-well: these two might show a little DOF behaviour and bokeh (M9 - VOIGTLÄNDER Ultron II 2/28 f2) :

The LH12 CV hood is very nice but the vented LH4-N (pic) blocks significantly less the VF of M cameras. Never got any vignetting with it at any aperture so i wonder why it is not advertised as a regular hood for the CV 28/2 asph. Works fine on the CV 35/2 too.

Is this hood screw in or bayonet?

Any links to it please?

I use this hood for my Ultron 2.0 35mm VM.

For my Ultron III 28mm I prefer the rectangular Haoge LH-VM13P hood.
I use it with my 21mm 3.5 Skopar too!

Forgot the pictures ...

I use that hood too, but I don't love the way it looks with the chrome lens. Lately I've been forgoing the hood, but I might try and trade for a black version eventually

Here is a shot I recently edited from some New York woods back in October:

Just ordered one.

Good move 👍

I've noticed that the shadows turn to black pretty quickly with this lens. So far that's the only downside, if you can call it that. Something to consider when I'm metering a contrasty scene.

Just got it today.  M10 w/Voigtlander 25mm f/2 Ultron II.  I'm new at posting images here.  The photos look better when you click on them.

I've the chrome version, not a single moment I thought of getting a lens hood, unless a matching chrome silver one comes along.

Sensor cleaning test on my Summilux 50mm/1.4 ASPH is clean , but the 28mm Ultron II looks like this. I’ve cleaned the rear element with no change. Seems to be internal dust.

I’m trying to exchange the lens for another one. The sensor is clean using my 50mm Summilux.
