I shot the eclipsed moon and then the foggy city below and pasted them together. It seemed the best way to show the very red moon which was very tiny because i used a noctilux. It is fairly clear, though and the color is really as it was so i wanted to share it. It is a very rare eclipse.

Hello Caryl,

Really, a rare and strange atmosphere. It seems to me, how if the whole conditions were pulled in slowly into a nebula suction, in which it sinks completely. The moon: like a lamp screen, illuminated by the lighting of the multistoried building.

Greeting

Wolfgang

I know I commented on this before -- Must have clicked the wrong button. I see two things as giving this wonderful image its success, and I do think it is a success. One is the placement of the buildings and the moon, and the other is the dominant colors of the city and the warm color of the moon. Excellent.

Caryl,

a lovely and atmospheric photo.

Great job of pasting these images together and capturing the mood of the moment.

I'm a little upset I didn't capture this as well, since I'm out in the Bay area for work and I was on a conference call at 4 AM.
