Looks to me they have some blue cast. The contrast also looks stronger than Vision 3 I have seen. I guess it’s your preference in PP?

nope its how it was, just cropped a bit, it was expired vision2, which the shop handrolled and was selling for 2$ a roll

Cinestill's warns that their modified ECN-2 chemical is not fully compatible with standard ECN-2 films.

1: ONLY ONE SHOT if  you really want to use their modified ECN-2 chemical on standard ECN-2 films.

2: Never mix Cinestill movie film with non-cinestill film in the same solution

Yeah that was what I was referring to.

Their chemistry doesn't even include prebath for remjet removal. I'm guessing they're saying one-shot, cause without proper removal, and due to the alkaline developer, the remjet will end up all over the chemical solutions, and still have some left on the film. What they fail to mention is, apart from the solutions being contaminated (maybe they can be filtered, who knows), even the "one shot" film itself might not be satisfactory, with partially removed remjet, making the chemistry more close to zero shot.

In any case, can your username sounds german. Are you based in Europe? Can you get access to the Bellini ECN-2 kit? I know it's available through the major european and british film stores.

I found these (claimed real ECN-2, but without the liquid portion).

Among them, Kodak is complete and liquid. All others only contain the powder portion.

I am considering Kodak version if I can find 15 friends to share 100L large package (and order Kodak Vision 3 minimun quantity). On average the ECN-2 would cost about US$10/L.

The power form would cost about US$30~60 per liter, more expensive but the powder might be easier to store. I only need to open 1L and mix 250ml  working soltion each time.

In know by heart the Bellini one, by ntphotoworks works perfectly fine cause I’m using it too. I’ll check the others later and let you know.
Also, ntphoto are really pleasant people and they have good prices (relative to eBay and other shops, not relative to rolling your own from a 400ft spool) on prerolled and fresh Kodak Vision film. If you wanna try a couple different stocks before committing to a big 400ft roll. In that theme, if you want full 400ft rolls, check frame24.uk, they have good prices. Sometimes also short ends on sale for really good prices (not many now with corona that movie productions slowed down but it doesn’t hurt to check).

Lastly, when you end up getting a kit, at least when it comes to the developer, it’s better to mix the whole quantity and store in airtight, filled to the brim bottles. Soda/water bottles with the air squeezed out work perfectly fine. The reason being, while the bottles are sealed completely, when you open them you remove a small plastic tab (the seal), and they’re not airtight anymore. Also once exposed to oxygen, if remember correctly, the developer keeps better mixed with the second part, cause it has some preservatives in.
