sandro Posted February 2, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 2, 2021 Beautiful colors, Henry, great composition! The silhouette figure works great against the colorful light. Lex
Henry Taylor Posted February 2, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted February 2, 2021 (edited) Thanks Lex, I was surprise to see how well the silhouette came out on these shots I had to work fast and under expose as the sun was getting brighter by the moment. stuny Posted February 2, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 2, 2021 Lovely. I think #1 works better than #2 due at least partly to the action, but also the color..
Henry Taylor Posted February 2, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted February 2, 2021 (edited) Yes Stuart I agree, I showed him the shot on my camera and he ordered that one. I'm making up a mounted Frame 13"x19" for him. Edited February 2, 2021 by Henry Taylor add word

Idawhat Posted February 7, 2021 Share #13 Posted February 7, 2021 Henry, you're killing me with these images. I'm a long time fly fisherman (1976) and can't wait for ice-out so I can get back on the river. I like the second image. It does not show action but I can see the fly reel and I can only think he is changing flies. Nice catch my friend.
Henry Taylor Posted February 7, 2021 Author Share #14 Posted February 7, 2021 Bill Only A True Fly Fisherman would appreciate the 2nd shot . That's why I included it. Good luck, bring back a picture of that Rainbow you're looking forward in catching this spring.
Idawhat Posted February 12, 2021 Share #15 Posted February 12, 2021 Thanks Henry, I fish the rivers and lakes in north Idaho for trout. I also drive a little south to fish the Snake & Clearwater for steelheads. On the Clearwater river I use my salmon gear, spay rod and large reel as in your picture. I must say that image inspired me to get out my gear and check everything over. Now I'll start tying some flies. 🙂
Henry Taylor Posted February 12, 2021 Author Share #16 Posted February 12, 2021 Thanks Bill for getting back and letting me in on your plans. The 2nd shot you were talking about that I took he was actually tying the fly that hit me that came off his line. Here are a few more of hime casting Welcome, dear visitor! StS Posted February 14, 2021 Share #17 Posted February 14, 2021 I guess the point in the first two pictures shown is that the first is so strong in composition and timing that the second does not have much of a chance. If you want to learn patience, fishing is certainly a good starting point. And photography, by the way... Stefan
