Since my M4-P days (some decades ago ! ), I don't try to frame "28" ,so x0.72 VF not really for 28 lens when precise framing is required.

For a while I used the nice external 28mm finder.

M262 with x0.68 may be a bit better.

Why Leica sold x0.58 film M for a while, as alternative.

With time, I have the framing "in my eyes", so I don't use the 28 finder but learned to live with that.

My other turnaround ...as a habit.

Just not looking at the frame lines, but look straight ahead and "see" the framelines in the far field can make a huge difference.

Flexible spectacle frames help, but I think you get used to not seeing all the edges of the 28mm in one go, you kind of get to know what will be there if you've already looked at the scene. But I often just scan around each edge one at a time to be sure, it doesn't take more than half a second.

Isn't the 28 frame the full window of the view finder? Or maybe is it the 24?

There is no 24. The 28 framelines push the limit and are out near the edge of the viewfinder.
