It’s both.  It is a hybrid protection : plastic film with glass coatings. Rating at 7H.

I have it on my SL2 as well as on my M10. Very high quality.

I had one pre-installed on my SL2. It has a small scratch on it now, hopefully what is underneath stays intact but I cant be tempted to peel-it-off and see now that I see the asking price for it lol.

Bought the display protector from the German company which I suspect might be the supplier for Leica. Looks like I saved 35$ relative to the Leica branded version.

The good thing with these new hybrid films is that they are easy to apply and you can just as easily peel them off (there is no glue), for example when you want to replace it with a new one.

And they seem to be durable yet thin enough to provide a high light transmission coefficient

You can find them on Amazon for 5 to 10€ depending on the brand and the variant

ExpertShield makes plastic film and glass versions. Fit is perfect, they disappear. The glass ones are very easy to install. Ignore the photo, they don't bend that way.

That's exactly what I wound up buying... picked it up today at B&H. I got the glass version.

The pic is confusing... and the reason I was asking the question.

AtFolix is the name of the brand. They sell their newest version (the 'hybrid' version) on ebay . It can be a bit hard to find the right one because they make a wide range of products. Make sure it says 'hybrid' or FX-hybrid in the product description.

I'm partial to the Expert Shield Glass LCD protector. They send you two, including a protector for the top display.
