180mm f/3.4 APO-Telyt R from the 1970s and still sharp to the corners with some very nice microcontrast!

I'm testing out the camera, evaluating if I'm faster than with the M and how huge the AF lenses are. Will post some images of my progress. So far I like it, although it seems like focus-peaking without magnification is more like 70 % safe.

Images with M 50/1.4 ASPH wide open.

Sl2-S & APO-VARIO-ELMARIT-SL 1:2.8-4/90-280

Rainbow lorikeets in my garden today .

These birds got my attention they were making a racket when they found the fig tree and as there were about 8 of them and by the time I got my camera and put the 90-280 on only 2 were left and I was determined to get some pictures as they are such beautiful colours.

After spending a long time convincing myself I didn't need / want the SL 35mm apo - I finally gave in and it arrived today.

Incredible sharpness and rendering from just a few quick shots in the garden.  Of course all of you who have one, know this already.

I'm mighty impressed.

One of the pup as she's cute.

Not great shots, but just to show lovely detail without being too harsh.

35mm apo - Spot focus in direct, harsh sunlight,  Heavily cropped but otherwise straight out of camera.

This is one awesome lens the 35APO I think Peter Karbe (the designer) said at the time he was proud of the specs.
