Lovely set of photos.  As you are using M lenses most of the time, I just wonder if you could have achieved the same result with the M 35mm APO.  I find it so much nicer to use compared to the large SL lenses.

Thank you!

I do not own nor have I shot with the M 35 APO. I did decide to purchase the 35 apo-summicron-SL after using one for a week. The weight seems a fair trade-off (similar to adapted R lenses that I would use with the SL2-S) for the image quality rendered, its ability to manages chromatic aberration, distortion and vignetting with the added advantage of auto-focus. My most recent M camera is the M8 and I don't have plans to get a new rangefinder camera. The M 35 APO seems a remarkable lens for its size, but at a very high cost. The VM Apo-Lanthar lenses and the Q2M will suffice as options when weight is a concern.

A walk around the back streets of town SL2-S ~ Zeiss Distagon 35mm/1.4 zm.  While I own the SL90/2 Summicron and SL24-90 I still enjoy the manual focus of some of the zm mount lens I own including this Zeiss.  The Voigtlander APO 35 and 50 are some of my other favorites.  Yes, the SL2-S is magic using the SL lenses, but I really enjoy my smaller primes.

I consider myself a true amateur compared to many of you, but I just got this Sigma 105mm 2.8 macro lens and have been very happy with its sharpness and focusing speed. This is only one sample but you can see its quality of sharpness.

Here is another shot with the Sigma 105mm on SL2s. I tried to be more artistic.

Last ferry crossing the fjord on Easter Eve, with the light from the ascending full Moon reflecting from a nearly calm sea surface. SL2-S with Canon 400mm f4 DO v2 (at 1/25 s, f5, ISO800, handhold with support).
