a.noctilux Posted November 24, 2020 Share #5 Posted November 24, 2020 I'd go for the R for their 4 filters (nice to use on Monochrom) a bit bigger, maybe cheaper than the 18mm M Welcome, dear visitor! andybarton Posted November 24, 2020 Share #6 Posted November 24, 2020 But not as practical on an M. Only the Version 2 Elmarit-R has the built in filters, don't forget.

A 10 mm external viewfinder is available as an accessory or you can use the LCD screen or the Visoflex 020 to frame your pictures. There's no need to focus the lens because the natural depth of focus in a 10/5.6 lens extends from the tip of your nose right through to infinity. It's a very good, rectilinear lens that's much, much wider than 18 or 19 mm. Just remember to keep the lens level or 'keystoning' will take over (as it will for any ultra-wide angle lens). ocean2059 Posted November 24, 2020 Share #10 Posted November 24, 2020 I really like the Elmarit-R 19mm v2 on SL, but I won't put it on my M bodies as it's just too big and heavy, Welcome, dear visitor!
