Nice Louis.

You tried anything other than the Nikkor 50? Reason I ask, you like the focal length obviously, but something like the Canon 50/1.4 would be smaller, more compact. I tried a couple of Nikkors on my T, and also used them a bit as well as some Ziuko's, on my Fuji X-E1. By the time you fit the required adapter you are getting bigger and bigger. That's why I like the 35mm Summicron M, small, light, unobtrusive. 28 Elmarit ditto.

Gary, since I was a teenager, I had always been a "Nikonian"!. I had several film cameras and lots of lenses. I only used Nikkors. Now, I onl kept one film camera, and several lenses: 28 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm, 200 mm; and, an Angenieux zoom with Nikon mount; and several AF Nikkor zooms that I used with my Nikon DSLR.... This was the reason why I was interested in an interchangeable camera. If Leica X was interchangeable, I would have preferred as I like more the classic looks of X. But T was the only choice! (Except M, of course)

My favorite Nikkor lenses are 50 and 85 mm; but, they are not very practical with APS-C sensor, unless for close ups!

Happy New Year,

Happy New Year too Louis,

Nikonain it is then, just wondered.

I wanted as small as I could, hence I steered clear of the SLR lenses, although I have used my R 50mm Summicron a few times, it is nice.

Gary

This is what I get with a Nikkor 17-55 mm zoom!... I guess it is a "little" bigger than the T 18-65 mm ;) ; and, it is only working manually on this camera!... Not a good idea of small and portable solution, and it becomes as large as SL with 24-90! :D But I must admit, it is a great and very sharp glass...

But I guess at some point I should also get the T zoom, at lest for travelling and for street because of the AF! ;)

With Nikkor 18-200 mm, f/3.5

I never very much liked this kit zoom lens and I only bought it for its large range. But it works much better with Leica T than it does with Nikon DSLR. It is quite sharp, colors are good and even the bokeh is acceptable. Although not very fast, I think it is going to be very usable for travels!

I am really having troubles with this LUF software that I do not find very practical....

I posted another shot; but somehow, it was doubled!!! ... Then I tried to clean the mess, now I see both have disappeared!... I have not seen any other photography site acting this way!...

I am trying now to post 2 more shots, and I hope it would work!... Both shot with Leica T, and Nikkor 18-200 mm, f/3.5

Worth viewing it twice Louis.

Gary

Too kind of you, Gary; but it is becoming really irritating!... No need to mention I am not a big fan of LUF software. If it wasn't for the great people on this site, I wouldn't waste my time here anymore!

After a wet day, the evening just now has cleared and the setting sun is giving that warm and fuzzy look.

Decided to hop over the fence and take a portrait of one of our neighbours, shame about the low sun angle giving some hefty shadows.
