So, new firmware, but little difference for this manual focus lens user, but notwithstanding, the weather was calmer this morning than usual.

I tried a few flower shots, nice to just be out and about with the T, and the garden is just blooming.

A selection of three, all with the T. Summicron R 50mm lens, usually about f11. Elpro V1a close up lens. All JPEG, little LR fiddling.

First one is Aquilegia.

Wonderful how a 45 year old Leitz Elpro can be successfully used on an equally-ish 'young' Leitz Summicron 50/2 R lens with a current Leica T camera to produce such pleasing images.

Anyone contemplating buying a macro lens for their T should consider a similar set-up;  Elpro lenses in their various diopter powers can be sourced fairly easily and they offer a very cost effective means of achieving excellent close-up images.

The yellow flower that I see with my eyes as bright yellow but when I see in Lightroom turns to orange yellow. Well I gave up and made it white........ and I quite like this!

ISO, F6.3, 1/125 sec - 18-56 lens at 31.6mm

Me too...

you can try to take the pipet from the white balance to the white surface under the leaves. May give you a better start.

Next time I try I will use an incident light meter, I will also try as you suggest.

Only cropped this one, no other changes from DNG have been done. So is the yellow colour better?

ISO 100, 1/125 sec, F5.6. Lens 18-56 at 56mm.

Stephen.

I'd say unless you have the scene in front of you, and your screen next to it, you'd never know: only you would.

To me, it looks fine but I could be well wide of the mark. In any event, it's a pleasant picture.

The lighting possibly is early or late which will add to the skew, and there is light and shadow which will also affect the outcome.

H Gary,

Late afternoon quite bright harsh sun. Metered from the camera in Manual mode. Do you think metering with an incident meter would be better in this situation? I am still waiting for my meter.

Honestly, no, I don't think so.

I have just processed a roll of T-Max100, run through my old (1929) Model 1A. All exposures guessed in my head, "Sunny 16" and erring on the slight over-exposure rather than under. The whole roll looks fine, so what I am saying is there is a heap of lattitude (OK, in B&W film) and so it should be with the T.

The "quality" of the light may be more at issue here, harsh is not always good. Try the same shot on a drizzly day and see.

I have an incident meter and have never thought to use it with the T, or the X-Vario, and not with the M6. I could, but right now all is ticking along, so why make it more difficult than it needs to be?

Try again, on a flat sort of day, see what you get.

Took this one while visiting the big city with the T with the Summicron M 28mm Asph. The reflections caught my eye.
