Walking around the Ankara castle yesterday with my Leica T and the 55-135 lens attached.

I saw the kid running down the street and as I was about to take the shot, a woman walked in crossing the street to feed the local cats. Oh well.

Image processed in Lightroom.

I have been traveling for about ten days.  We just got back to home and computer so I can now share a few shots. Here is one from a quick  stop in New York on a cold snowy day.  Leica T with Zeiss ZM 50mm 1.5

We made it to Cuba - We went on a 'People to People' educational  Cruise that toured us in Havana, Santiago and Cienfuegos.  Because we are US citizens, we had to visit through a cultural exchange program.  I must admit, it was wonderful and  I learned a lot.  Nice ship to call home for a week - Celestial Crystal.

I used the 18-56 most of the time .. great lens in my opinion.

Was that cruise out of NY Rick? I am eager to go before the place gets spoiled by commercialism

That particular Cruise starts in Montego Bay Jamaica.  From there it merely goes over to Cuba, stops in Santiago for a day, then on to Havana for a two day stop, then on to Cienfuegos for a day, then back to Montego Bay.... it takes a week. .  We flew from NY city to Montego Bay .. It is about a 3 1/2 hour flight.  If you are a US citizen, you still can only visit Cuba on a 'People to People' Visa.  Message me if you want more info,

Rick

Dear friends,

I am very happy to notice this forum has not been broken into different pieces. :)

My T had some issues and I had to send it to New Jersey for some face lift. BTW, Leica at New Jersey has always been my very best online experience. They have always been very professional, helpful, and friendly… But it seems things have changed!... I don’t feel the same wonderful servicing anymore, and was bothered by how much they have been wasting my time!...

These are my last shots before I had my problems with T, during the last snow fall in Washington DC. I can’t wait to have my camera back and start shooting again! I am just missing this year’s Cherry Blossoms!

Leica T + Nikkor 50 mm, f/1.4

Thanks for the wonderful pictures Louis!

Would you mind telling me what problem you had with the T?  Was it temperature related, did you drop it? Or something else...

A little test with my 400 R Telyt from the early 70th. Two kitted lenses an a long aluminium tube no AF and no VR - handheld with 1/80s. This was not planed but the camera was still not in the Auto ISO mode. Sometimes one had to be lucky.

Hello, Vikas,

For more than a year, my T was working perfectly; but all of a sudden, the pictures became extremely over exposed and almost white when shot with wide open lenses (F numbers below 3.5 ). I tried different lenses; different batteries, and different memory cards and even the internal memory; but still the same.!!!... As I am mostly shooting with wide open lenses to control the background, it was really very annoying! I have no idea about the cause, but I had to send it to Leica in New Jersey to see what is going wrong!

BTW, I must also point out that the Leica people in New Jersey are not anymore as wonderful as they used to be. They have been wasting my time a lot, and surprisingly, behaving quite unprofessionally and carelessly! ... Now, I am waiting for the result, hoping they can find the ill and the remedy!...

Thanks Louis, strange symptom on the T! Too bad about the fall in Leica's service.
