The new Trump Hotel in Washington DC that I believe should now be called Hotel President!!!...

The last shot is the same street many years ago. I must point out that this old photo of Washington has not been shot neither by me nor with Leica T. I am just posting it as a hystorical reference! ;)

"Capitol" is getting ready for the inauguration of the new American President, in Washington DC.

Louis,

Please take plenty of photos of the events to follow in the next several days!

By the way, the Angenieux lens and picture of the fruit looks terrific.

Thanks,

Rob

Thanks, Rob; Angenieux is, indeed, a great lens that I was using with my Nikon film camera before.

As for the event, I am not living next door, and frankly, I am not very excited about this event, either. Ever since I became an America citizen and lived in DC, I have been in every inauguration and even had a seat in front of the White House at father Bush inauguration; but, this one is sooo in-interesting and is not worth of the trouble! Impossible to park, and metros are flooded by an impatient crowd! ...  BTW, besides the usual tourists, the whole area was quite empty. During previous inaugurations, days before and days after the inauguration, the crowd was so huge that it was almost impossible to take any shot!

My wife whose office is next to the Capitol and her window opens on the National Mall, just called me complaining about all the noise! :)

Washington DC is one of my favorite places. Love your shots, so, if there is a change of plans please share.

Women Protest Day in Washington DC, Suaturday, January 21, 2017.

Please forgive me for the large number of photos;  it was really hard for me to make a shorter selection. Actually, you can see more in this gallery: http://objectif.zenfolio.com/p135083742#h81f0f0a6

Please, also note that I don’t have any intention of making any political statement in this photography website. I am only posting photos of an important even in my town.

Pro Life March in Washington DC, January 27, 2017

Once again I should point out that I am not expressing my own personal political and social views; I am just taking pictures of events that are going on in my city!

There are more shots of this event in this gallery: http://objectif.zenfolio.com/p766391768#h82579e27
