Just back from a recent trip to Adelaide (South Australia). I took my Hasselblad (digital) and SL2, as well as my trusty T with the TL18mm, small, light, and fitted nicely in the bag when I carried the Hasselblad. It proved fun to use, very "phone-like", but I knew the output was going to be way better.

I didn't hold out much hope for it's low light use, but was very pleasantly surprised.

I also have the small TL 18mm f2.8 lens, which makes the camera much lighter, but the !8-56mm gives you more scope to take more types of photos without cropping (and it's not a heavy lens).

Fully agree, in my case an old(er) camera, cost me very little, and a nice compact package that slipped into the camera bag alongside my Hasselblad. I have the 11-23, and 18-56, but opted for light, small, discrete instead.
