TL2 w 90-280 sl, handheld, @ equivalent 420mm.

(Not a great job framing the bird, but the colors and clarity are really nice).

I still aspire to produce photos like Rob aka "Tritentrue"! :)  But, I'm enjoying this combination nonetheless.

Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. There’s some cracking shots here. Hopefully I will have a few to share later in the week from my Japan trip.

Brunch in Ft. Lauderdale

TL2 w 35 1.4TL

Wow, I want the address. ;)

I really like this lens. I have been hesitating between this one and 55-135 that also has an excellent sharpness and rendering. But if l can find a good price, I think I may get this one and keep it on CL most of the time.

They are really not competitors, per se. 50mm vs. 80-200mm. Personally, I like having the 1.4. It is quite sharp. Here's another one to whet your appetite (or should I say confuse you?). Rob

A dazzling feast of chromatic aberration and moiré

Here's the one with chromatic aberration removed in LR.

Yes, I know. My reason behind 55-135 was to continue the range of my 18-56, but beside the good image quality, these t zooms are so slow. I know that I would use 35 mm more often; specially in the street. It is a fast glass, and I am not a wide angle guy to go below that... also, I already have Nikon 28 mm that is very sharp, but too wide for me. I love the Nikon 50 mm that I am using very often. 35 mm is in between, but also AF.
