So, winter here, normally foul weather, but occasionally we get decent days, today being a decent day, after the fog cleared.

 

I flew for the better part of the afternoon, and arrived home about 30 minutes before dark, to the view of the full moon rising in the east, gorgeous.

 

Tidied up the helicopter, and raced inside for the cameras. Took a few shots with the R8 and R28-70. Then put the R28-70 onto the T and shot much the same.

 

At the 70mm end, and at (from memory) about f8. Glass of pinot followed, and I reflected on what was a wonderful day. Good to be alive.

Believe me, as good as the T is (or any camera for that matter), the picture pales when compared to the naked eye view. As I was flying towards it (and home) the moon was just rising against the hills in the distance to the east, and it was HUGE, a big red ball. Beautiful.
