Having a bit of lazy Saturday afternoon fun, front blew through, and it has cleared nicely.

One thing I loved about my M8 when I had it was the B&W I/R shooting ability, it was superb. I wondered if the T was similar or indeed even close.

I need summer, with foliage: we are late winter, but no buds on the trees, nor too much in the way of leaf.

Leica T, on a tripod, pointed at our cottage, a nothing sort of shot, more to try it.

Elmarit M 28mm f2.8 with 720Nm I/R filter. Aperture was f8. Shutter speed was 1/2 second. I used the self-timer.

Custom White Balance, from pointing the camera at the grass (I tried the white paper as well, it was similar, more "white")

More testing in spring me-thinks. Plus I need that 15mm or 12mm CV lens.

Gary

One for the flyers. Leica T and 55-135. I think the plane is some kind of kit job. Tony.

Hi Rob, I like it very much, of the 5 lenses available for the T, the 55-135 and 23 are mine favourite. In truth though I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I'm not able to say much more really. Technical analysis is not my thing. What ever you choose, I would strongly recommend buying s/hand, the T lenses lose a big chunk off the original retail price. Tony.

Leica T with 55-135. Tony.attachicon.gifL1021703-01-1280x1108.jpeg

Tony, this is another fantastic shot with truly gorgeous colors!... I wonder how much better could the new T be!?

Lovely photo/composition Louis, did you share a bit of grooming with him? . Tony.

Thanks Tony; but to be honest, I didn't have any choice to work on the composition or even to re-compose in PP. I took the shot as you see it. You can imagine the crowd and all the kids around, getting on the poor animal's  nerves. I was lucky to find a small spot and shoot quickly before anyone could block me again! ;)

Well that's wonderful instincts Louis, reportage at its best. :-) .Tony.
