Visited a local watch strap and camera bag maker...

Shot with the 23mm..

The strap on the watch is not one of theirs...

That time of year again . . .

T with 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R and APO-Extender-R 1.4X . . .

Superb image and I'm intrigued by the lens combination … because yesterday discovered that my 280mm f4 APO ROM lens will not mount to the 'T' when either the 1.4x or 2x APO extenders are added to the Novoflex R to M adaptor - which itself is mounted to T's Leica M adaptor . But the 280mm does mount OK to the Novoflex R to M adaptor.

The extenders and 280mm mount OK to my R9 - presumably because the R9 mount activates the extenders' cams to the correct positions - enabling safe attachment of the 280mm.

Can you please advise which adaptor(s) you are using on your T to enable mounting the 1.4x extender with the 280mm?

Thank you.

I use the 280mm f/4 APO and APO-Extender-R combination with the Leica R-Adapter M (14642) and the M-Adapter-T (18771).  The Novoflex R to M adapter works fine in place of the 14642 as well.

With both the 180mm f/2.8 APO (ROM) and the 280mm f/4 APO (3rd cam, I believe) I first attach the extender to the lens, using my index finger to push the extender's aperture lever to its rightmost position, after which it attaches normally.

Tailorbird (juvenile, I think, as it was tinier than most) . . .

T with 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R, cropped at about 50%...  Camera and lens seem to like each other, although file size restrictions obviate showing just how much...  :p

I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on the CV21, I have been close to locating one for my T.

Obviously my preference is the SA21, but this is about 3 times the cost, so to start with I am considering the CV21 instead.

Gary

hi gary,

sure thing, I haven't had proper time to go out and shoot with it yet but will likely post a mini review.  my thoughts exactly, I ultimately would like some type of Leica ultrawide, 1.4 or 2.8 but those options are bit too pricey for me at the moment.  the voigtlander 21mm/4 was a no brainer given the affordability and used prices online seem to be pretty stable.  I picked up mine used knowing that down the road I could probably resell it with minimal depreciation.
