MartyM Posted August 13, 2020 Share #1  Posted August 13, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just purchased a used Leica M7 off eBay. The ISO dial will only turn 90 degrees counterclockwise. I didn't discover this until I loaded a canister of Fujifilm Pro 400H.  At first it would not read the ISO speed but after turning it a little it did read the ISO 400 correctly, I assume using the DX code. I thought that it should be possible to manually set another ISO speed using the numbers on the left side of dial. Is this not possible when a DX coded film is inserted?  If I have to send it for repair any idea how much it would cost? Thanks Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks If you're in the US, why not email DAG (though he's better with phone calls than emails) and Youxin Ye (who does answer emails quickly) and ask? I don't know who DAG is. This is not a 'return' but supply of a faulty item for which a vendor's 'no returns' policy is not valid. I sell on occasion on Ebay as a private seller, so do not offer returns as is my right, but I will never fight a return if someone says the goods are faulty - it is a waste of time and money. Make sure you contact the seller via ebay (never directly) and personally I would start a formal returns request at the same time - item not as described.
