I shot this for a magazine story about the book this person wrote in which he lays out his alternative to the theory of evolution. M6, 28mm Elmarit, Kodak T-Max 400, Scanned from print.

Brent - I really like this. Your framing makes this subject more dynamic than it would have been. Very nicely done. I would indeed be curious about about his alternative theory...

Stuart--Thank you. The AD seemed to be happy with the photo. He's been trying to get me to play with angles more so I gave him what he wanted here.

DD--Thanks much. The illustration is of some microbial type organisms crawling out of a primordial pond.

Conrad--I'm sure he'd be happy to sell you a copy. I'm not sure his theory has had much acceptance in the scientific world. He first published the book about 10 years ago but just released a revised edition.

Find this shot very interesting, enjoyable and well executed..The "trianglular white background portion" + the subject's eyes + the position / placement of the book + the shot angle and the darker outer background make this excellent "light reading".

Thanks much for the comments.

Conrad--You lost me. What is the "Hands" campaign.

The Leica "Hands" campaign is/was an advertising/branding campaign featuring the hands of people like Salgado, Ralph Gibson etc. with their Leica camera. Your avatar is reminiscent of that campaign...

Conrad--Sure, I do recall seeing those ads. I don't think there's much danger of me being confused with any of those folks. I can see it now: "The hands of Brent Nicastro." And the response, "Huh?" "Who?"

Cheers,

We're in the same boat...:D

Ditto well done..I am sure he is pleased?

Thanks for sharing your photography Brent!!

Steve..this seems to be very much an issue will many of us on this software and server..I am not sure what happens, but it definitely inferior to the "Old Forum" jpeg handling capacity. Thats something I think we all need to ask Andreas now.

If we knew how the "server technology" reads the images or if they become embedded with code that adds to the noise and visual distortion?

I think its time we get some answers.

Regards , Lei Ka Mann:)
