Strange email just now from B&H.  I guess I had an availability watch set for the silver M10 and just got an email saying it was discontinued and no longer available.

System glitch or something good in the works?

Given the factory has been closed I'm not surprised that 'no longer available' may have been misconstrued from something like 'not currently available to order'. Have patience, it's not a time to wave arms around in the air and panic.

Even Leica Store Miami is showing "Out of Stock (not "Out of production" or "No Longer Available") - for a boatload of M variants: regular M10 (both colors), M10-P (both colors), MP (both colors), M-A (both colors).

And to add to the confusion, there was a limited-run M10 "Leitz Park Edition" in silver as well as black, which are sold out, not just out of stock.

As 250swb says, it is likely the whole supply chain has dried up - for the moment. And so may have the "communication chain."

The whole factory has been closed down, like many factories in Germany. I'm not sure whether they are starting up already, but with the rules for distancing and contamination avoidance that are in place in Germany, it will be a while before production reaches a reasonable level.

The most reliable place to check availability is Meister Kamera.
They show the silver M10 (basic) as "not available", but all other M10 variants are in stock, including the "Lenny Kravitz Drifter"  (yuk) "ASC 100" and "White" (double yuk) editions, as are the silver and black M240-ies.

That seems to be indeed the most plausible explanation.

Notably, Leica‘s own German online shopping website says „derzeit nicht verfügbar“ which means „currently not available“.

This could likewise explain why my WATE did not arrive yet...

How does one say 'yuk' in Dutch?

Close, but not quite there.  "Jakkes" would be better

M10R manufacturing (hopefully a color version of the outstanding 41 MP M10M sensor, not the 47 MP SL2 sensor) needs M10 bodies. Diverting them from the silver M10 line makes sense, though the internals should more closely resemble the M10P.

I've had a M-P (Typ 240) that was sent to Germany by Customer Care here on March. Repair status just recently changed to complete on Wednesday with a follow-up e-mail from Jennine telling me that my camera is on its way back to me; tracking shows delivery scheduled next week. Might be a sign that the factory could be opening back up
