There is also NaAn who is a very good photographer but seems to be quite shy to post often. Her self portraits were among the best I have seen in this forum.

We also have another lady, Ingrid, who is not posting often, but what she is posting is always top notch.

One of the most inspiring photographer I have seen in his site is Boojay. Unfortunately, she is not participating in different forums and only is posting in T and CL forums, although she owes different Leica cameras and lenses, and her work is truly outstanding.

Apart these ladies that are super photographers, I don’t see any other that is worth of mentioning, very sadly.

thanks so much, Louis

Decided to have some fun and practice self portraits a little the other day. Shot with M11 and my 90mm elmarit, natural light, using the Fotos app for focus and shutter.

Pete, I think the dog has a better sense of posing. Complete lack of props!

I believe our discussion was about photographers and not posters!!!…🤔

Hello Louis. "Female Leica Shooters" was the original comment made by Aram. and another comment by

Local Hero: "I agree with these comments, though I might perhaps characterise the misogyny as 'casual and thoughtless' rather than 'heavy'"

Thoughtlessness being the operative description

Is this a self-portrait, Ken?

Pete.

No Pete. Sorry are we doing self portraits here at the moment? Crikey, I thought it was the portrait section, I will delete the image if possible.

The title of the thread is "Open thread self-portraits", Ken.

There is a separate 'portraits' thread that you've posted in that you might be confusing this one with?

Pete.

Marfa?

Yes, Marfa.  I don't know if it was due to my terrible typing (I got a D in 8th grade typing class), or auto (mis)correction on my MacBook.  This reply is on my desktop PC, and it did not auto (mis)correct, for whatever that's worth.

As is said here in 'sarf' London, "As long as yer know yer Arfa from yer Marfa*." 😇

Pete.

(*Translation:'As long as you know your Arthur from your Martha'.)
