Mikko Kankainen Posted November 13, 2020 Share #21  Posted November 13, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I found this new nice lightmeter from Ebay. It costs only 50€ and it's all metal and works great. I usually use my M4 without meter but it's nice to keep in pocket. I know it's digital and not as "cool" but it fits perfectly to Leica. Built in battery, charged by microusb.   Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Hi Mikko Kankainen, Take a look here Small light meter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Rokkor Posted January 2, 2021 Share #22  Posted January 2, 2021 I can recommend myLightMeter app. How much smaller could it be? With the M2 I got great results and you can also do spot metering. That allows for average calculations in shadow and highlight areas or applying Ansel Adams zone system.
madNbad Posted January 2, 2021 Share #23  Posted January 2, 2021 I've been using the Reveni Labs 3D printed meter for the last several months. It's quite accurate and works fine for my needs. If I need more capability, I have a Sekonic 308u. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! tommonego@gmail.com Posted January 4, 2021 Author Share #26 Â Posted January 4, 2021 My Sekonic L208 died, just stopped working, I replaced the battery with a couple new ones still dead. Just over a year old and I figured a repair would cost as much as a new one. So bought another, really stopped and thought about a service contract, but didn't do it. I like to havethe meter separated from the camera if the meter isn't integrated with the camera. I have an old Leica meter but haven't had the electronic updated for a new 2021 battery.

edstock Posted February 19, 2021 Share #30  Posted February 19, 2021 For metering  with my M4-P I like to use the Voigtlander. It sits nicely on top and provides excellent and reliable readings. I have a Leica MR-4 but while it works great it eats batteries.
DaveNC Posted March 12, 2021 Share #31  Posted March 12, 2021 I too enjoy my M3 and a Sekonic Twinmate.  I don't need a camera to meter and I don't need a meter to take a shot.
