I posted two shots from last night's sunset in another section http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/253542-fire-in-the-sky/ before seeing this so rather than repeat myself, here are two B7W sunsets. The first is the Monochrom while the second is a M9 conversion.

Funny! Leographie's (very nice) pictures gave me the idea to look at my kitchen's window - looking East, of course - and to take these two shots yesterday and today morning.

Yesterday evening, at the end of the third week of sunny weather...in November.  And we had our lunch on the terrace. For a Belgian-born like me, it is simply incredible ! That's Southern Portugal.

I miss summer...

 

This was taken on Fire Island - a barrier island that's 5 miles offshore of Long Island, NY on the Atlantic Ocean - about 60 miles from NYC.

 

It's a serene and unique oasis that does not allow cars (for the most part).

The island is 31 miles long but only 1,000 feet wide.  It's basically a long sand dune.

 

This sunset is taken from the opposite side of the island, overlooking the Great South Bay.  (That's the south shore of Long Island 5 miles away in the background.)

 

Stunning sunsets with beautiful colors are the norm there (these colors are accurate).  It's a great get away from the fast pace of NYC.

 

Only 199 days until summer!
