Henry Taylor Posted February 8, 2020 Share #6 Posted February 8, 2020 Great Shots , I myself and a friend enjoyed Budapest around Christmas 8 years ago. Had seats and dinner at the Opera would have been more enjoyable but when waiting to enter got my wallet picked. Didn't realize this until we were leaving and had to walk back to the hotel in the snow and my girlfriend was really pissed. When leaving we almost missed our flight because of her late shopping , in a rush to get aboard I left my camera at the check in station. Lost all my wonderful pictures at the opera. Still a great trip!

Still a great trip! Oh my goodness - that sounds like a nightmare of a trip. My Hotel was right by the Hungarian State Opera which is undergoing restoration at the moment so only open short hours for guided tours, and completely covered up. The Christmas Markets are supposed to be wonderful, and I would have definitely have preferred snow to the lashing rain.

It's a great place for strolling with a Leica.
