and the location is correct to within a few feet, thanks to my phone and Lumix Synch:

I wasted several hours looking for an easy way to plot the set of a dozen or so pictures as little teardrops on a single Google Map frame.   Couldn't do it from Flickr or Google Photos or ArcGIS Online.  If anyone has an easy way to do that , please PM me.

edit:  solved my problem, which was checking GPS accuracy on a small number of pix taken from known location.  Reviewed them one at a time in Preview, with the Inspector dialog on another screen.  It now has a GPS menu when that data is available, and shows the location on an Apple map.  It still take 6-7 clicks per picture to get there and it is not a solution for marking multiple locations on a single map.  Incidentally, two pictures lacked GPS data.  They were taken with the camera above my head, looking over a metal obstacle, while my phone was in a cargo pocket of my pants.  So BT-LE doesn't go very far.

An neolithic archeological site , thought to be 9000 years old, was identified just before a new highway came through:

But the highway passed overhead, so the exploration continues

Decided to see how an S1 would work out for me... surprisingly the weight of the thing hasn't upset me too much yet, feel like I have my own little L mount alliance using it alongside the CL.

S1 with MC-21 and Canon 200 2.8

S1 with Sigma 50mm Art

S1 with 24-105

That will do for now .... all the above have been taken in the last 4 weeks ..... and only a small sample of 2 very productive trips to the Lake District and West Coast of Scotland. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that there is little point looking outside the UK for landscape photo locations as there are enough here to keep me occupied for the rest of my days .....
