hirohhhh Posted March 9, 2020 Share #21 Â Posted March 9, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I never cleaned my sensor on SL for the past 4 years since I bought it. I try to switch lenses as fast as possible and putting the cap immediately so it never gets dusty. If I ever noticed one or two particles of dust, it was too easy to just blow it away with the rocket blower, but nothing has ever touched my SL sensor (it's a virgin basically . Same thing with the lenses, except I might clean front glass once or twice. I have UV filter 100% of the time attached on the lens. If I ever want to switch with the ND filter I do it quickly. Anyone else? Edited March 9, 2020 by hirohhhh

jaapv Posted March 9, 2020 Share #22 Â Posted March 9, 2020 You are lucky. Even fixed-lens cameras collect dust on the sensor from time to time.

The pixel/noise issue seen in your image could have beeen caused by several different issues, but is not related to dirty sensors. To be able to discuss the issues in your image you need to provide the following information: - Is the original/source raw or jpg file? - If the original is raw, which tool did you use to generate (demosaic) the attached file. - How long was exposure and did you use LENR? - Can you provide a regular image where similar issue as in the included example appears?

michali Posted March 11, 2020 Author Share #26  Posted March 11, 2020 Sensor's dirty again.  Dirt spots only show up at smaller apertures. BlackDoc Posted March 11, 2020 Share #27  Posted March 11, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) As i said earlier- never had so much dirt spots as with the SL-II. I am not afraid of cleaning the sensor but i have to do it nearly daily if apertures are to be expected < 5.6 (landscaping). 1
