Monochrom sunset at the end of my road.

Good exposure -- it seems like a photo essay on the blight of utility lines. Good impact. CHIPS

There I was, minding my own business, when the man standing near me at a park, who had been feeding this flock of pigeons, made a sudden gesture, which spooked them, and they all took off, flying right at me. Maybe a similar incident is what inspired Alfred Hitchcock. Then again, maybe not. 35mm Summilux, orange filter.

Very dramatic and you had your camera ready at the moment that counted! exposure is excellent (Orange Filter works wonders on M10M), composition well balanced this is a powerful photo -- I see the parallels with Hitchcock. I think he filmed the Birds in Tomales Bay. CHIPS

This photo has good possibilities. My suggestion is to crop the top down to the tree height -- the buildings (which give it context as an urban park but are almost totally blown out and a distraction) can be eliminated. The curve of the path is peaceful and the blossoms serene. Welcome we are delighted you are posting keep not up!! CHIPS

I am always looking for compositions like this nowadays. I call it the 'Alan Schaller Syndrome'. Preferably the figure should be all in black, silhouetted, and wearing a hat, highlights blown out, and shadows deep. Mark Fearnley is another one in that mould. This photo is only partially successful on all those counts. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

M10M + 50mm Summilux-M ASPH

Yes. Your approach works very well and this show in your results.

I am really enjoying your photos of everyday life in la bella Italia :) I can almost feel the warmth of the sun and smell the food cooking - please keep them coming.
